12,000 sf classroom building on the North Prairie

The newest addition to the College of Muscogee Nation (CMN) Campus is the Classroom and Security Building, designed for its expansion into the “North Prairie,” created in conjunction with the CMN Master plan that improves their path to accreditation.

The 11,500 sf building is a Pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) clad with 65% metal panels and 35% adhered stone to complement the campus buildings within the central circle. The glass entryway is flanked by an “architectural” cultural arbor that is found at each building throughout the college campus. The project design provides six classrooms with space for twenty-four students per class, six offices for educators, an IT office, and three security offices for the CMN Security Team. The “meeting room” can be used as a conference area/holding room as needed. There is an entrance off the vestibule entryway and one into the lobby.

The secure storage is located near the security team, and technology will provide camera access throughout the building for additional monitoring. ADA restrooms, staff restrooms, breakroom, and mechanical, electrical, and janitorial spaces are efficiently located. Energy-efficient lighting is used throughout the building, and skylights in the lobby and corridors provide additional lighting.
